If you haven't already registered for this event, there's still time! Participants will receive a certificate of completion of 4 hours of training toward the PFA Inclusion Training requirement.

This workshop is designed for providers using the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) screening tool who are interested in finding out about the referral process for young children with developmental concerns.  Representatives of the Golden Gate Regional Center and San Francisco Unified School District will share information on making referrals to their agencies. 

Providers will be able to ask questions and get detailed information about referral steps.

 Participants who attend this workshop will:

-have an increased understanding about screening and the ASQ tool.

-have an increased understanding of the referral process for young children.

-know when and how to make an appropriate Early Start or Special Education

referral.

-have an opportunity for small group discussions with representatives of the Early Start Program (GGRC) and early childhood assessment staff from SFUSD.

Support for Families is located on the 7th floor of 1663 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94103, on the corner of Plum St, between South Van Ness and Duboce. 

Public Transport:

We are located near the 16th Street and Civic Center BART stations, as well as the Van Ness Muni Metro station.   We are also accessible via Muni buses 14, 47, 49 and 71.

Parking:

Most of the street parking near the office is metered and timed.  There is a very limited amount of free all-day parking available around the Best Buy store (along 13th, 14th, 15th, Folsom, Harrison) approximately a 10 minute walk to the office.
